There are 5 slots that are filled “first-come-first-served” – and there are typically several “no-shows,” as well. You can sign up for one of those slots beginning at 9 AM in the BMI lobby the day of the workshop.

HOW TO TAKE YOUR SONGS FROM GOOD TO “WOW!”

We’ve all heard that great songs aren’t written—but are re-written. But HOW do you rewrite melodies? How do you know which lyrics to rewrite—and how do you do it? How do you determine if it’s worth working on? How do you know when the song is finished? What if a co-writer doesn’t want to rewrite? Learn all of this and more – and see the step-by-step process that went into making songs successful. (Note from Jason: my first hit was rewritten SEVEN times. It led to my entire career.)

PUBLISHER PITCH 

Following the lecture portion of the workshop, each participant will have the opportunity to pitch one song to the guest publisher. 

The publisher guest and what he/she is looking for will be updated here as soon as we have confirmation.

 

 

 

If registration for this workshop is full, there are five slots kept open until the day of the workshop. You can get one of these slots by being among the first five who sign up in BMI’s lobby the morning of February 21. BMI opens at 9 AM..

(If you secure one of these spots you can leave—then return to BMI by 12:15PM.) 

There are occasionally also some “no show” slots that are released just before the workshop begins.
