ALL-DAY INTENSIVE JASON BLUME
NASHVILLE SONGWRITING WORKSHOP
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2018; 9:30am - 5:30pm
Truxton Trust Bldg., 4525 Harding Pk., Nashville
(across the street from the Belle Meade Kroger)
WARNING: Your Melodies Will Never Be the Same
There are reasons why some melodies stick in the brain—and others fail to do so. This workshop examines the common denominators found in successful melodies in various genres and teaches concrete tools to make your songs unforgettable.
Top 10 Lyric Techniques
Learn the top ten tools that are consistently found in successful lyrics.
Includes: finding new ways to say the same thing; a 3-step technique to “show” instead of “telling”; finding fresh titles and concepts; the power of being real; supporting your title; using physical settings and time frames, simile, metaphor, hyperbole, special considerations when writing for TV/Film, and more.
You’ll start several new songs – and leave with the tools to finish them.
In-Depth, Constructive Song Critiques & Pitch
Selected songs will be forwarded to (10) music publishers. “Perfectly crafted” will not be good enough. The publishers have requested only songs that are “exceptional” — potential hits that are different and better than their own writers can write.
NOTE: This is only available to those who sign up for a critique.
(30) slots include a song critique & pitch: $120
(These will sell out VERY quickly)
Audit Only (full workshop participation, but no critique/pitch): $65
The “Critique/Pitch” slots for the workshop are full.
You can still register for the “Audit” option.
Contact Neil (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you want to be added to the waiting list if a “Critique/Pitch” slot opens
